Post Game Report

Some common stats that most coaches pay attention to whether in-game or postgame are Turnovers, Points per Possession, Points per Shot, and Free Throws.

Having the total numbers is really valuable but does not always tell you the whole story. We all know stats can be misleading. Breaking down the numbers further can give the coaches a clearer picture of how the game is trending.

In the example below “Run” is transition, “Early” is the phase in between transition and half court offense, and “Flow” is half court offense. Knowing our PPP, PPS, Turnovers, and Free Throws in each phase has been a really valuable tool for us, especially when playing teams twice in a season.

BA = Big Advantage Shot, SA = Small Advantage Shot, and X = Bad Shot.
