Mike Neighbors: Making Marginal Gains in Your Program

The attached checklist is a great way for the your coaching staff to evaluate all areas of the program. Marginal improvements in all these areas can make a HUGE difference.

I make notes during the season on ways we can improve when issues, big or small, arise.

Some small changes we have made:

  1. We have a hamper at the end of the bench to collect shooting shirts as players check into the game. Easy to bring hamper to locker room at halftime and postgame.

  2. Each player has their own water bottle

  3. Having a water cooler in the locker room filled daily

  4. Laundry straps for practice gear to connect players jerseys and shorts
